Davide Carbone gets MTM Recommended Award!

For Loopmasters latest sample library, the company teamed up with the legendary drum'n'bass producer and man behind BS1 Records, Davide Carbone (much of his time is spent behind the desk at Delicious Digital Studios). Duplicated across two CDs - one for data and the other for Audio - Drum and Bass Masterclass is built around 20 sampled drum kits and 60 instrument patches, supported by more than 230 breakbeat samples and 50 bass loops alongside pads, keys, sweeps, FX and atmospheric loops.

The Loops are provided in Acidized .Wav and Rex2 formats, while individual hits are provided in .Wav format, with instrument patches for Reasons NN-XT, Halion, Kontakt, EXS24 and SFz.

Experimenting with the loopsusing Ableton Live, it rapidly became clear that Davide Carbones enviable reputation in drum'n'bass circles is certainly well deserved. Each of the drum kits has a distinctivefeel that is immediately recognisable as drum'n'bass orientated, while the various loops are clearly the work of an artist who knows the genre inside out. Each of teh drum loops, breaks and floor wobbling bass lines has been developed with such attention to detail that they could easily be mixed at random to create a fairly good imitation of a modern drum'n'bass production, but its the aditional samples found in the Keys_Synths_Organs and Musical Loops folders that are the icing on the cake.

With the right production elements and a good grasp of the drum'n'bass genre, an aspiring producer could create a wealth of original music with this library alone - definetly one for electronica enthusiasts.

If you need to buy a drum and bass library this year, you should invest in Davide carbone's Drum and Bass Masterclass!

Music Tech Recommended 9/10 !!!!
