Nu Tone Full Marks from DJ Mag!
Its Quite interesting that while the whole industry has gone download mad, most pro sample collections require placing an order and waiting days for a disk to show up. Or perhaps even doing something crazy like going to a real shop and buying one!
So its a welcome suprise to encounter a well respected manufacturer of sample cds releasing a collection onoine only. And 'Nu Tone : Drum and Bass Vol1' is quite a collection.
D&B Maestro Nu:Tone is renowned for offering up tasty beats, bass and more jazzy licks than Ella Fitzgerald in an ice cream factory, and this package doesnt dissapoint. And the bass and beats in particular impress.
Breakbeat is on the rise nowadays, drum and bass has always been ticking over nicely, and if you make any variations of either you'll almost certainly find something useful in here.
Anybody else who nees an interesting selection of beats and breaks to break the monotony of electro, prog and pop could do worse than downloading this selection. Fire them up and engage in a bit of cross genre pollination.
And when you get bored of it, dont despair - the 'Vol1' suffix suggests another volume is on the way soon...
