Drumdrops in Dub Great Review from Future Music!
Disc 1: 2.8GB worth of proper Jamaican ‘70s style drum loops played by Style Scott (Gregory Isaacs, Barrington Levy etc). Fills, single shots, percussion loops, FX – this is the holy grail of Dub drumdrops.
Added to this 650 Apple loops and REX files as well as WAVs galore. Have I mentioned the MIDI files? Well you get them as well! Oh, and sample patches for EXS24, Halion, Kontact, NNxt and SFX.
Disc 2: 24 full length drum tracks ready to be opened in Cubase, Logic or Pro Tools? Yep – they’re on here. I was really looking forward to this collection and wasn’t disappointed. Not only for the loops/multitracks sound great (mixed on an old school Neve desk off the original 2” master tapes – this is priceless!), but they have the advantage of being a decent length, making it even easier to tweak the loop as you want it.
This is a must if you’re making music that has even a sniff of old school Reggae/Dub about it, and should go pretty high on your wish list even if you don’t.
I could go on for a long while about what this collection has and how good it is but I’ve run out of room
