Mad Professor Reel2Reel Reggae - Review by Computer Music

According to the blurb, dub legend Mad Professor pulled ancient types to come up with the old-school material for this release.   Spread across 143 hits and 315 tempo-matched loops, it’s a compact affair, with the real flavour coming from the excellent loops, at 100, 125, 135, and 140 bpm.

You get bass, drums, fills and musical parts.  The latter are particularly enthralling, boasting totally authentic horns, organs, keyboards, guitars and general mixed instrument loops that will delight dub aficionados.  And of course, dub reggae has a long association with many forms of dance music, so we expect  that these sounds will work their way into many a club banger, too. Superb.

Verdict: 9/10
