Future Music Review: ASC Experimental Drum And Bass
Massive originality warning. Most of the time when you see the DnB flag flying over a sample collection you can expect a gig of Pendulum outtakes and last decade's Junglist knock offs. Not so - this brilliant sounding 'experimental' selection of atmospheres and loops give the genre a rather more interesting and delicate outlook. The whole collection sounds super-pristine. Bottom ends are warm and fuzzy but it's the top loops and sweet digital chords and long reverb domes that really sing out. Use the collection entirely by itself or team it with your favourite hard stepping drums and breaks for a soaring, lemon fresh new take on the grit and grime you'll find elsewhere.
