Future Music Review: Shogun Audio D&B
Tight. That's the word for this collection. It's so macro-intense in its construction that it's often hard to gauge at just what just flashed by your ears. Drums are tuned up tightly, hats and clicks fizzle and pop and over on the dark side you'll find lashings of lovely warm ambient synth pads and punchy, dark bass. This is smooth, driving but easy to mess with D'n'B. It's at turns bright and intense but equally dark and involved. It's nice and sizey at 820MB allowing the guys to fully flex their sound design muscles and deliver something that's perfect for any D'n'B occasion. We love the Special FX and Stab sounds and the drum sets are among some of the cleanest and well-produced samples we've heard. Thoroughly recommended.
