If you’re a producer making drum’n’bass, jungle or even more down-tempo breakbeat tracks, you’ll find a solid selection of rolling beats, dirty leads, basses and atmospherics ready to drop straight into your mix.
The 205MB download comprises 330 AClDized WAV files, 86 REX2 samples, and 18 patches for HALion, Kontakt, Reason NN-XT, SFZ and EXS. It’s also compatible with Stylus RMX.
Breaking down the sample content, 330 samples make up the total, with 43 breakbeat drum loops, 26 music loops, 16 bass loops, 26 SFX .WAVs, six bass multis and five drum kits incorporating more than 150 drum hits.
We experimented by adding loops to existing productions, filtering them in and out. They quickly fleshed out the mix of the sparsest composition. The name implies that it is aimed more at those involved with the harder end of drum’n’bass, but the material also worked in smoother, more liquid styles. A credible, royalty-tee sample pack for drum’n’bass heads and breaks producers alike. This versatile set will add a hard-edged junglist flavour to your mix for under £15. Bargain.
