5/5 from DJ Mag for Marshall!

THIS month we have another in the ‘artist series’ of sample collections from Loopmasters, this time courtesy of house legend Marshall Jefferson - and it really is rather special.

As you’d expect from a US house legend, the range on offer is broader than some of Loopmasters’ other ‘producer series’ artists. Expect everything from brass loops and live funk drums, to cool guitar licks, stylish keys and some fantastic vocal loops. If you’re a budding minimal producer looking for a one-stop shop, this definitely isn’t for you; but no mater what type of music you make, you will find loads on here. The quality level is very high, with almost no repetition, and by virtue of being a
timeless collection, this is one we’ll be dipping in and out of for 10 years, through each new genre and production style shift.

Not only that, but it’s genuinely inspirational, particularly as you go through the musical loops. Whether it’s a great piano, some brass or one of the exquisitely programmed 303 loops, we found countless loops that would make the perfect basis for a house, tribal, techno, breaks, pop or even chillout track.

5/5
