Killer Acapellas - thenews.co.uk

KILLER ACAPELLAS – Loopmasters/Monster Sounds – Apple/Wav/REx2 – £34.95 (or you can purchase song items at £5.95 per stem) – download

It always pays off to immediately think of Loopmasters when you are after some scorching acapellas because they always deliver the goods – seemingly just as you need them!

This is just the case with Killer Acapellas. All we fans of top songsters were hanging in there after using up all Loopmasters’ Iconic Vocals then along comes this goodie bag full of delights.

This is a great collection because it’s a genuine mixed bag and the content is sung by a male and a female so your needs are well catered for.

You get no fewer than three songs at clubland’s 128bpm (in A, D# and G#) and five more at 140bpm (in A, A# and D#) which are great for trance, upbeat electronica and dubstep tracks. You also get a bumper folder of bonus ad-lib vox in various keys at 128bpm – ideal for freshening up the middle of a track or as a transition. Unlike some others on the market out there in interweb land, these are crystal clear, (which of course is what you expect from Loopmasters) and easily timestretch, warp and soak up a myriad of effects such as reverb, stereo width and lashings of vocoder without any reduction in their 24-bit quality.

Another stunner from Loopmasters who come up trumps with vox sets every time without fail. Loopmasters say:

‘The pack is made up of eight full song ideas, compromising verse. chorus and in some cases the bridge parts of a song.‘Extra harmony parts have been added so it is possible to build more progressive layers. In some songs there are alternative takes sung in a different style for more options. This is to give the full flexibility of either grabbing a simple one line hook to loop, or to have the tools to construct a full song with a traditional verse-chorus arrangement.

‘The vocals have also been double tracked (in many cases multi-tracked) so you can get that huge stacked sound in the chorus of your song.

‘The parts are laid out to make them as user friendly as possible, and have been split up in the following ways: all songs are bounced as a full acapella version, laid out in verse-chorus type arrangement and also a “wet” effected version.

‘The parts have also been supplied as totally dry individual stems, so you have total control over your vocals.

‘Finally there are song “Sections”.

For example the chorus, verse, and bridge parts of the vocal, stacked as a fully double tracked chunk so you can rearrange the sections however you want to.

‘The reason for this is that in the full acapellas there may be overlaps that would make any editing difficult so these “Sections” give you the flexibility.

‘These are bounced also in dry and wet versions.’

So, nip over to loopmasters.com now, hear the demos, whip out your card and buy with confidence!
