Computer Music Revew: Abstract & Weird 1

 

Despite the name, Abstract & Weird's 200 rhythmic loops aren't a total break from SOR's club-friendly vibe. It's all about ring-modulated percussion and heavily processed FX, and none of it would sound out of place in the Beatport tech house Top Ten. It's varied, fresh and inspiring, and just as good for creating memorable drops as it is for layering with more traditional beats.
