"Buy this now!" Keyboard Mag Review
Jazz/World features some instruments you don't find too often in sample CDs: flutes, saxophones, and double bass, Afro-Cuban style. I used Reason to see how far I could push the REX file versions.
I was particularly impressed with the flute loops,; they're really funky and quite tempo-elastic. The saxophone loops were also particularly good.
The Latin percussion loops are in full swing, offering smooth bossa beats and a couple of 6/8 patterns that really grooved. It would have been great to see a few Redrum patches, as a lot of these drum sounds are available as individual hits.
Overall, Jazz/World is one collection that should find its way to your studio pronto.
Verdict: Three words: "Buy this now!"
