Producer Essentials review from Headstrong

After reviewing the superb 'percussionism' by loopmasters i was eager to see what 'Producer Essentials' had to offer and needless to say 'i was far from let down. Basically this sample cd is a toolbox for all working producers. It doesnt matter if you are pro or a beginner you will find what you are looking for here and also you will find professional high quality recordings. Aswell as the usual wav files you will also find 'REASON' files and .Rex files.(always a massive bonus to have complete control over pitch and tempo). The cd layout is grouped nicely and you will soon dicover folders for , analogue keys, bass, drum samples, guitars, strings etc etc and there's even a demo track to showcase what this baby can do.

I started with the strings thinking to myself that if they have really recorded the strings well i can be pretty sure the rest of the cd will be quality and i must say ''the strings sounded superb'' 100% usuable and you could feel some expressionism and bow movement. You'll find all the usuals in there and all excellent , violin, cello, double bass, etc etc I really liked the 'BIG STRINGS' and can see them dropping in nicely into my future projects.

Next up was guitars and i must say how well these sounded. The acoustic guitars were excellent. The dance producers will be happy enough with the drum samples and beginners will be happy to find the 808 and 909 kits which every dance producer probably started with. As i skip through this sample cd nothing seems to let the side down. The wind instruments are great and youll find live licks from funky brass sections and horn sections and even more useful youll find the multisamples.

The basses also sounded great and sounded very real. It was nice to see that they hadnt just swooped for the safe analogue option. Youll find 'music man, sub bass, bass licks, space bass, and many many more.

There's quite a lot of bonus things thrown in too in this package such as 'scratch samples and F.X samples. You'll also find some rather useful midi files and stabs and hits. Lastly but by no means least i checked out the analogue groups suchh as Moog, Prophet, JP80, arp odyssey etc etc These all sounded great and were also available in multisamples.

"Highly Recommended 9/10"
