9/10 for Lounge and Chillout from Computer Music
"The third part of the Loopmasters Origin Series falls into the Lounge/Chillout category. Perhaps the only reason that the decision was taken to adopt this decidedly loose theme is that none of the samples ever exceed 120bpm; they are certainly versatile and varied enough to find a place in almost any genre of music.
As with previous Loopmasters offerings, you’ll find a wealth of sampled loops in both .wav and .rex formats and, where applicable, the constituent multisamples that make up the instruments (often accompanied by NN-XT or Redrum presets).
The bulk of this 500MB collection is taken up by the drum ’n’ bass loops section, with 149 drum loops and 62 bass loops. The drums are nicely recorded and mixed and have not been brutalised with excessive effects processing. Furthermore, the loops are excellently edited, and the .rex versions have obviously had a lake of blood and sweat poured into them – there’s no sloppy slicing here!
The package is rounded off with a healthy spattering of instrumental loops and sequences, leaving you with a versatile and comprehensive collection at a good price. The best so far from Loopmasters – no doubt." 9/10
