It was late one night that we got the call from Ed, telling us to come and get him from the Lab. The Sub he had been finalizing was so deep it had caused the speaker to fall from its heavy duty mounting, and had pinned him in the corner of his studio under the desk. His wide eyes were something to behold, and all he could manage to tell us before we pulled him free …. “its, the…Perrrrrfect Bassss!!!”

Ed Solo is a production whiz kid who cut his teeth in the world of Drum n Bass, but is perhaps best known for his collaboration with the Breakbeat elite including Krafty Kuts and Deekline. Ed has also collaborated with people such as Darrison, Skool of Thought as well as mixing down tunes for Freq Nasty, Splitloop and other big names.

This once in a lifetime collection of Heavyweight contenders features no less than 1200 individual hand crafted Bass samples, presented in 24Bit resolution and formed using state of the art digital and analogue studio technology. The pack is formed of 93 Loops for DnB, Hip Hop and Dubstep – and 47 Ready to play multi-sampled Basses for Soft synths compatible with Reason NNXT, Halion, Kontakt, EXS, and SFZ. There are also Apple Loops, Reason Refill and Ableton Live versions available.

Ed Solo Presents Bass Lab Vol1 by Bass Boutique Fine quality Bass! this neat box of treats not only comes with some fantastic Bassloops in Rex format but comes with some delightful testtones and loops in wav ideal for Ableton and Traktor DJs who want that little extra punch in their mix . 10 out of 10 for utter delightful quality rasping filthy bass!!

You get the impression that Ed Solo he has literally gone in the lab for a month and just tore his synths and oscillators out and made a super nasty bass-line sample pack.

Ed Solo is at the top of his game and this is a great Sample Pack that is very handy to have there sat in Ableton as a Live Pack if you are making Dubstep, Breaks and Drum and Bass.
