DJ Krust - Bristol Drum And Bass

Loopmasters are very proud to present a new collection of samples from one of the early pioneers of Drum and Bass, and co-founder of the famous "Bristol Sound", DJ Krust.

Krust is the co-founder of Bristol's Full Cycle crew (with Roni Size, DJ Die and Suv), and he is much noted in the drum and bass underground for his push-the-envelope productions both alone and in collaboration with Size.

After meeting at the 1990 Glastonbury Festival, DJ Krust and Roni Size soon began to produce tracks together, often in collaboration with DJ Die and Suv.

The outfit recorded solo and in tandem for Bryan G and Jumpin' Jack Frost's V Recordings during the early 90's, but then in 1992 formed the Full Cycle label which released several crucial singles and the 1995 label retrospective "Music Box".

DJ Krust continued to record for V and Full Cycle, and with Roni Size did remixes for Goldie and fellow Bristol crew More Rockers. Size's debut album New Forms, featuring considerable production help from Krust hit the music world like a bomb in 1997, leading to Krust's own major-label contract the following year. Coded Language followed his PolyGram debut, True Stories, in 1999. Krust’s 2nd album hidden knowledge released on his own label full cycle in 2006 saw him continue with his trade mark sound.

"Bristol Drum and Bass" is a collection of sounds and samples direct from the studio of DJ Krust, and should inspire new and established DnB producers worldwide and give access for the first time to some of the Tones and sounds which have been responsible for a large chapter of Drum and Bass History.

The pack weighs in at 500MB and includes 390 Drum and bass Samples, including 148 Loops and 242 One Shot Samples. Also Included are 43 ready to play patches for Reason NNXT, Halion, EXS, SFZ and Kontakt compatible soft samplers. Apple Loops, Reason Refill and Ableton Live versions are also available to purchase separately.

In detail producers of DnB, Dubstep and Grime should expect to find here 30 Tearing and Serious Basslines, 64 hard processed Drum Loops, 30 Music Loops, 24 Top Percussion Loops, 99 Single Shot Drum Samples, 12 Bass Multisamples, 1 Super Sub, 9 Instrument Multisamples, 62 Dark FX, 7 Instrument Hits and 4 Bass Tones.

Please Note: When selecting the appropriate download version for your requirements the Zip (Main) format includes Acidised Wav and Rex2 Loops – all single (non looping) sounds and Sampler Patches for Kontakt, Halion, NNXT, EXS24  soft samplers. Reason Refill, Ableton Live Packs and Apple Loops are not included, and must be purchased where available as a separate downloads. Apple Loops packs also include any single hits and EXS patches where applicable.

DJ Krust presents Bristol Drum and Bass is a nice steady away simple Drum and bass producers package, it contains some lovely drums breaks and some nice lush Bass sounds. This is a perfect little package for any drum and bass producer and DJ.
