Many times in the studio you hit a wall when making a tune. The need for an MC to take the track from being great to being a remembered banger is so simple but tricky if you don’t know any decent mic controllers.

Monster Sounds label bosses Aquasky / BlackNoise have been fortunate over the years to have befriended and associated with many great vocalists and here they compile the first of what will be many Rap Acapella packs for the professional and the bedroom producer.

This pack is far more explicit than the previous. Not for the faint hearted or those easily offended!!! Going for that real gritty Southern rap drawl, the content covers what you would expect with plenty of profanities to grime up your track. Featuring vocalists Baller B, Big Mike, Ka Ching, Lil O and Lo Lo, these 5 wordsmiths raise the heat with some merked out content alongside some party lyrics and plenty of one shots to spice up your recording process.

Deep South Rap Acapellas is a great collection of original vocal performances which can be used for all styles of Dance music, from Breaks, Dubstep, House and Drum and Bass.

The pack weighs in at 530MB and includes 324 Rap Samples recorded in pristine 24 Bit. You get 202 Loops between 60 - 128 Bpm, and 122 Single Shot vocals. Also included are 6 ready to play patches packed with the vocal one shots for Reason NNXT, Halion, EXS, SFZ and Kontakt soft samplers. Apple Loops, Reason Refill and Ableton Live versions are also available to purchase separately.

Please Note: When selecting the appropriate download version for your requirements the Zip (Main) format includes Acidised Wav and Rex2 Loops – all single (non looping) sounds and Sampler Patches for Kontakt, Halion, NNXT, EXS24 soft samplers. Reason Refill, Ableton Live Packs and Apple Loops are not included, and must be purchased where available as a separate downloads. Apple Loops packs also include any single hits and EXS patches where applicable.

Some pretty good rap vocal hooks to mess with. BPMs range from 60-80 and then they give you 128 for uptempo & club tracks. I can see using these more for club records though some of the rap lines could be stronger. Decent set for those looking for quick ideas to link together to create full hooks.

Can't help it but when I listen to these samples I see images of The Wire in my mind. These samples are cool for the use in electro tracks. Take a whole bar or just cut them up. The vocalists are defo keepin' it real! aaaiiiggghttt ))

Considering nearly every house track in the charts just now have a rap of some sort this pack is just what the doctor ordered. perfect for little snippets or a full on verse or chorus. And the fact the rappers do sound professional.
