It all began in late 2012, when a 22 year-old Catching Flies decided to self-release his first EP, The Stars. The EP’s lead track hit the coveted #1 spot on The Hype Machine (a feat he has gone on to repeat), and the EP has been downloaded an impressive 35,000 times to date. After the success of this first EP, the young producer uploaded a number of remixes and bootlegs, further carving out his own niche. Another self-released EP soon followed, The Long Journey Home, which has since received millions of plays and BBC Radio attention from the likes of Giles Peterson, Annie Mac, Huw Stephens and B Traits. Catching Flies has also been flexing his muscles as a club DJ, with online mixes for the likes of Mixmag, Earmilk and Solid Steel under his belt, as well as a number of DJ shows set for Europe in 2015.

Really good pack. A range of stuff to use i.e pianos, saxs, drums etc. Really like the way that it has been recorded - doesn't sound too digital and crisp - especially the pianos. Nice! Would have maybe been nice to have some one shots in there but not the end of the world!

Been using this a lot. Really versatile pack that sounds good even when warped/slowed down/sped up. Pretty authentic as well in comparison to some of the 'lo fi' stuff out there...

Great pack. Very versatile and really well recorded. The snare samples in particular - loads of nuances and lots of attention to detail in terms of velocity/tone - very useful for programming! Highly recommended. There's also something very fresh sounding about this pack in comparison to those in a similar vein.

Great pack. really wide range of sounds, and really feeling the way in which the sounds have been treated. they seem to fit in mixes really easily...

Chemo does it again! Can always rely on this series for some solid sounds & especially drum hits. A wide variety of sounds to play with and again very versatile/useful for layering... Nice!

This is a really useful pack. Was looking for something a bit less generic and this came up trumps. Sweeps particularly!

really useful and versatile set of sounds here! i found them really flexible - personal highlight being some of the bass drones... top stuff!

this pack is fantastic. and trumps a lot of the harp samples out there which sound pretty unnatural and cheesy. the loops are great but also enough space in them so you can chop them up and really get creative.
