Reviews

  • Smokers Blend 2

    Rating: 8/10

A nice assortment of loops and sounds from Smokers Blend. Lots of variety of material and it's all well recorded and laid out. Maybe could afford to go even trippier for the next one but as it stands will be of good use in many styles of House productions

Great stuff from the Loopmasters as they delve into the world of Rare Groove - not exactly sure what that means. All good material though, with my particular favourites being the pianos. Also some nice Rhodes, strings and synths to choose from. Well laid out and recorded as per usual. Nice work.

    Upright Bass

    Rating: 8/10

Upright Bass is where it's at! Loving this stuff from Frontline producer and a welcome inclusion in a relative desert of upright bass packs. Nicely labelled and recorded with a wealth of loops to choose from, it's an immediate addition to my hard drive. Get stuck in!

Brilliant stuff. I'm really into upright bass at the moment and this pack doesn't disappoint at all. There's loads of good material here and it's all well recorded and laid out. Get stuck in as it's a great addition to the armoury. Big up to the Jazz master Ashley John Long! Solid stuff that I'll be digging into immediately.

    Nu Disco & Boogie

    Rating: 9/10

Really nice warm sounding material here. It's all good with Drums, percussion, bass and lovely keyboard and synth riffs particularly. Already got a few of these lurking in new productions. I feel a Volume 2 coming on - maybe some fx next time?. Good work from Loopmasters - solid stuff once again

Great stuff. Had to be a 10/10 as I created an entire release around one of the basslines on here ;) Well recorded and well fitting to the kind of House I make.Lots of nice loops and sounds.

    The Deepshakerz

    Rating: 8/10

I love these guys drums so I was quick to grab this offering and wasn't disappointed although it's a little too brief. What's there is a nice selection of bass, drum, music and percussion loops that will enhance most house productions. Good work guys.

A really accomplished set from Reel People. If you know their music, however, you wouldn't expect anything less. Loads of stuff to wade through from drums (in varying styles) to synths, vox, keys, horns and it goes on. Well done guys - expect to hear your work on an ATFC track soon ;)

Very cool stuff here from Freddie Joachim. Even though it's in the downtempo ballpark, most of these loops translate well to higher tempos and don't sound out of place in my house productions. Good stuff - will watch out for more

If you're a fan of these guys productions then you can't go wrong here. I personally prefer my sample packs to be a little less effected with reverb but that's only personal preference. Lots of great material and a nice spread of loops to choose e from. Well done Maribou State

    Soul Funk 2

    Rating: 9/10

Absolutely loads of material to sift through here including brass (split into component instruments), drums, electric guitar and keys. All well recorded with a huge choice of riffs and feel. This together with pack 1 make a great addition to any sample library.

    Tower Of Funk

    Rating: 10/10

Wow I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw over 8gb downloading for this pack. Absolutely loads to go through here and it's all quality stuff. Everything you'd need for injecting some funk into your production whether it be horns, keys, bass, you name it, it's there. Got to be one of the best value packs around

    Retro Funk & Disco

    Rating: 8/10

Great stuff here from Organic Loops 1.2 Gb of material all well recorded and in various keys and styles. There seems to be loads of packs focussing on the retro funk and disco sound at the moment and this is up there with the best. The keyboards here are probably my favourite section of the pack

    Daft Funk 3

    Rating: 8/10

Pretty cool pack with nicely laid out selection of loops as per usual from Loopmasters. There's some interesting musical loops and fx while the drums all have effected variations, which is nice and good for forming ideas. A good sequel to parts 1 and 2.

Lots to get your teeth into here as Loopmasters provide another quality retro offering. Utilising primarily keys, bass, drums, guitars and horns, these 14 main pieces are split into their component grooves and there's a wide variety of tempos and key signatures. The real sound of R&B

    F9 Trax: Electric Disco

    Rating: 10/10

It's very difficult to leave anything but glowing reviews for F9 stuff. The attention to detail and love and care that's gone into their packs are second to none. Even the session notes must have taken a lot of thought. I like everything about their material, from the design to the layout to the sounds themselves. Well done chaps

They're not kidding when they say Jazz masters. If you're after ivory tinkling then look no further as this pack has a whole heap of stuff organised and named after the greats. It's all well recorded and in varying keys, tempos and on both piano and organ. Highly recommended.

Absolutely loads of stuff to wade through here and the main problem is remembering it's all there! So many times recently I've been faffing about trying to get a sound right and suddenly remembered to look in the mix essential presets. . A good selection of templates too. Great stuff and well worth the download

Brilliant stuff as usual from the F9 team. Every sound has been meticulously thought about and there are lots of them! If you want to go one step further and have them help you start a track - it's all there too in the form of templates. My main issue is, where are Drumtrax 1, 2 and 3!!?

    Underground Tech House

    Rating: 8/10

As per usual quality stuff from Loopmasters. Nice selection of bass, full drum, top, music and percussion loops in trying tempos. Some sounds are a little too 'electro' for my personal taste but nothing a filter can't sort out. Looking forward to volume 2 with some effects please!

  • Good quality pack here from maison records. I like the variety and quality of the loops included, and will definitely be plundering from it soon. Lots to choose from with the bass loops probably being my favourite. nice percussion too. Not aware of Volume 1 but will check it out!

    Dope Dubs

    Rating: 8/10

Nice selection of moody, twisted loops and sounds here with my faves probably being the string and synth loops. Loads of drum loops too and although it's trip hop on the tin, if used in other genres it can give some nice texture to the track

Absolutely LOADS of material here to sift through. Of course, it's very specific to the genre so if you're looking to add a little indian spice to your production, you need look no further. I won't be reaching for this everyday in the studio, but I know it'll save my life when I do.

A very nice pack here from The Nextmen which provides a great selection of drum, bass and musical loops and some scratches (which I would have liked to have seen more of) to boot. The drums in particular are very authentic and raw (in a good way). Would love to see a Vol 2

    PURE 909

    Rating: 10/10

I could have written this review before sampling Pure 909 as I know F9 are obsessed with quality and detail. Not much that I can say other than 10/10

Quality stuff again from LOA. Nice selection of grooves and content. Once again, i wish the loops were dry and as with previous packs from LOA, the timing can be a little off in my Stylus Rmx. That said, it's a worthy addition to any DAW.

    Soul Funk

    Rating: 7/10

Lots of nice stuff here but I'm starting to get a little frustrated by packs that put room reverb on their loops. I just don't see the point. Anyway, other than that it's a pretty cool offering which veers more towards Soul than Funk IMO.

It's obvious that a lot of time and effort went into making this release as it's packed full of all manner of stuff that'll help you with your house productions. Focussing on rhythm, it offers up a wide selection of loops and percussion both effected and 'normal'. If there was a little more musical content it would have got a 10 from me!

it's all in the title of this pack. Perfectly recorded strings in various keys and there's even piano in there too. It's quite a distinctive sound so I suggest using a riff as a starting point for a production rather than trying to fit it in around an existing one. Lushness

This is really good. The super Slovenian has put a lot of material into this pack and it's all good stuff. Stack loads of drums, loops and separated sounds dominate and are my pick of the pack. The synths and musical elements are the only things I thought held if off a 10 score. Thumbs up from me though

Good selection of authentic sounds to choose from here with my favourite being the dum loops. It transported me straight back to the late 80's and reminded me of bands like Midnight Star and The Whispers. Good stuff - would have liked a few more separate drum loops though

I only really took notice of this genre recently while browsing on Beatport and found I really liked it! I'm still very new to this sound so I can't say if it's an authentic sounding pack but it sounds pretty cool on first listen. Loads of nice synths and drum loops to play with and some fairly heavy bass to boot.

Good stuff here from Mr Wharton who gives us a nice varied selection of drums and components mainly, with a few synths and basses thrown in. I would have liked more musical elements personally but the quality of the pack overall is good enough to forgive him for that. Nice work.

Pretty cool pack here from Max Chapman with the usual elements included. The top drum loops will probably come in most useful as some of the other percussion and drum element loops are fairly simple. It doesn't quite hit the mark in the same way as MDE, Mike Vale or ProkNFitch but it's a good pack all the same.

    Balearic Disco

    Rating: 7/10

Similarly to True Disco, this is a good, varied pack with lots of instruments and key signatures to choose from. I just wonder why it's all effected though - seems to create limitation where it's not needed. Other than that, pretty cool stuff.

I like the MDE Back 2 The Old Skool pack so thought I'd check this out. It's another well thought out selection of loops and hits that has obviously had some care and attention. It's a similar pack but a bit less ravey and a little more epic. Good stuff!

The drums are my favourite here with Scott Diaz probably taking it by a nose. Good selection of sounds and all for a great cause - no brainer really

    Techno

    Rating: 8/10

WA packs are all pretty distinctive with their experimental approach and trademark swing. Loads of great drum and percussion loops on offer here to form a good solid base for your production. I'm not sure about the bass and synth inclusions though - they seem a bit too EDMmy to be techno.

All you need here for that 'Future House' sound (I'm pretending I know what that is), but anyway - loads of material here to pick and choose from when making any kind of House. Just be clever and use them imaginitvely. Drums and basslines probably win out for me here.

    Vintage Beats & Breaks

    Rating: 9/10

Really fantastic set of individual and ensemble drum loops here that add an air of authenticity to a production immediately. Loads of material to go through and all really varied and useful!

  • Loads of material here and, while not all useful in the sort of music I make, will come in handy given a bit of imagination. Nice textures and it’s obvious a lot of thought has gone into this well laid out pack. Good work.

    SFX Collection 03

    Rating: 7/10

One can never have too many fx to call on and wave alchemy have constructed a pretty full pack of weirdness here. Move along if you’re looking of subtlety because these sounds are all fairly full on and in your face. All good though.

Brilliant stuff once again from F9 and a bit of a game changer to boot. Watch my words, piano house will be making a comeback due to this ;) I’ve only given it a 9 to make space for the impending midi chord generation that’ll nom doubt make an appearance soon.

    Classic 90s House Vol2

    Rating: 8/10

Well thought out pack here with all the elements needed to recreate that 90’s vibe. Just add a little inspiration! Could have done with more synth elements but overall a very useful addition to the armoury.

    Vintage Rhodes

    Rating: 8/10

There’s a good, broad selection of chord riffs here which are also available in processed format. Nice clean recordings over a wide range of tempos and styles. Nice work LM.

    Grid V3.0: Drumtrax

    Rating: 9/10

You know the guys at F9 know their stuff so it comes as no surprise that the quality here is second to none. No time has been spared in the recording process with great lengths taken to maintain authenticity and quality. The logic templates do it for me with arrangements to get you started and more drums sounds than you’ll know what to do with.

Yep, can’t fault the guys at F9 for their meticulous attention to detail and obsession for authenticity. Loving the analog synth sounds which I’ve personally loaded into Logic’s EXS24. Great stuff guys

    Ultimate Vocals

    Rating: 8/10

Loads of stuff to get stuck into here with my favourite being the effected vocals. As long as you’re imaginative, this pack will come in very handy when adding that all important human element to your tracks

Great set of authentic sounding loops and instruments here with absolutely loads to wade through. Each section is a pack in itself with bass, drums, guitars and harmonica all featuring. Obviously not often appropriate for my house productions but a mighty solid thing to have as an option.

    The Blues Sessions

    Rating: 8/10

Great set of authentic sounding loops and instruments here with absolutely loads to wade through. Pleasantly surprised to find vocals too! Well recorded and very good value.

Nice pack from my mates The Shapeshifters. I can hear their sound all over this. Split into the usual Bass, Drum, Music and Top categories, it includes enough variety and depth to be worth the $. Good work guys.

Some of the loops are a bit too frantic for me personally but what stands out here are the one shot fx and drum sounds. I’ve already made great use of some of them in a number of tracks and it’s one of the sample packs I immediately open when starting a production.

    Undercover Funk Vol 1

    Rating: 7/10

Good stuff here from Loopmasters with loads of great musicality and depth to this pack. Not so useful for the House sounds I’m making at the moment but it was never meant to be. Can’t wait to start plundering when I get down and dirty ;)

Loving this. Absolutely loads of raw, authentic breakbeats that slam and sound so rough. I'm definitely going to be keeping a close eye for Rawcutz packs in the future. Very, very cool.

    Back To Techno

    Rating: 8/10

Really interesting pack this, with a good selection of folders. My favourite are the fx and percussion, although the synth and vocal loops are cool too. Typical high standard from Loopmasters

Pretty decent pack here from Mr Syrossian. Good selection of drums , loops and music with the drums winning out in my opinion. Could have done with more fx but otherwise all good.

    House & Nu Disco

    Rating: 8/10

Solid set of loops and sounds here with my personal favourites being the melodies. I would have liked a little less treatment on them to be able to adapt them into my songs but it's not a major issue. The basses are good too.

    Freaky House

    Rating: 8/10

Lots of choice here with bass, drums, lead, fx and vox loops. The key is in the title as it's all fairly 'freaky'. Some of the percussion fx loops are pure madness! Love it

    Mainroom Future House

    Rating: 8/10

Wave Alchemy are one of my favourite labels and they always put a lot of effort into their sample packs. Some great sounds here (although I'm still unsure as to what 'mailroom future house is) and as with all their stuff, it's all a little wonky. I especially like the beats on this one.

Brilliant stuff here from The Freemasons. Faultless recording and totally authentic riffs and sounds. I just wish it came in a stylus pack too. Great work guys

  • If you tapped into Volumes 1 and 2 you won't be disappointed here. Loads of great loops, sounds and separated elements to get you going with some lo slung beats. A worthwhile addition to the series

A pretty decent pack here from Mr Seaman. Drum heavy, but that's all good. Good selection of riffs, sounds and loops.

Quality as expected from Mike and Jon. Great loops, musical elements, vocals and strings that are well recorded and sit nicely in most 'house' productions. Well done guys

    Funk Bass

    Rating: 8/10

Really good stuff here. Nice clean recordings with a wide variation of playing styles and riffs. My only wish would be to have more 4 bar riffs. Other than that - good stuff!

I can only find Latin riffs in my pack - am I being dumb? Anyway, not a huge amount to play with but what's there is high quality and all in the recognisable latin playing style style. Worth a peep

    Deep & Raw Techno

    Rating: 7/10

Don't come here for hands in the air hooks because it's all about the moody atmospherics in this offering. The drums work best for me here and they're all really good starting points for your tracks. You get synths and basses too but they're pretty much second runners to the stars of the show. In deep and raw techno, it's all about the beats

Slightly different vibe to this pack whereby it's not so easy to slot the sounds/loops into an existing song but use them as a starting point for something new. Freakiness prevails in the music and bass loops but less so in the percussion. Lots of content and a fair bit of thought has gone into this solid offering. Would like more freakiness in the drums though :)

Great tool to use as a starting point for the soulful side of house. Nice range of keys, tempos and structures. You've got midi too if you need more freedom.

    Future House

    Rating: 7/10

Really like WA packs and although it's going to be very useful in parts, it isn't one of their best. They excel in skippiness and weirded out sounds and I'm not sure 'Future House' (whatever that is) requires too much of that. That said, there's always a longevity to their offerings so I'm sure if I give it a bit more time and delve a little deeper I'll find what I need

Good solid pack here from Mike Vale. Loads of straight down the line House loops and sounds which can be transported to styles above and below the line. Good quality recording and over all a good spread of tops, bottoms and middles!!

    Classic 90s House

    Rating: 7/10

Good recreation of the 90's vibe here with a choc load of kits and loops to choose from. Some musical elements are offered but here it's all about the beats. If you wanna be down with the kids of today you gotta roll with the kids of yesteryear :)

You can never have enough percussion in your pocket so grabbing this pack was a no-brainer. Including stuff I've never heard of before this really splits everything out which is great on the one hand but I would have liked some full loops too

Wow - really impressed by this one. Haven't stopped using bits from it since I got it and am now starting to feel like a bit of a thief! Great variation and quality on all counts - would have just liked a little more!

Lots of stuff to get your teeth into here and all with Mr Leger's trademark swing. A lot of thought has gone into this pack and it shows - nice musical elements, percussion and drums. All round a solid release

    House & EDM Drum Fills

    Rating: 7/10

Great selection of fills here. The only reason it's a 7 and not an 8 is because I feel it leans a little heavily on the EDM side of things. That said - it's all gravy. Still 100 loops to go through!

Quite a nice array of loops and variations here that focuses on drums but does include some melodic elements. Would have like the single drum patterns to be a bit more experimental rhythmically but otherwise a decent pack

Accomplished pack from MDE. I have the last one so am pleased to boost my arsenal! Different vibe here as is explained in the title and is right on the money for today's sounds. Good work chaps

    Classic Synthology

    Rating: 9/10

Some really nice experimental stuff here which, if used thoughtfully, would fit most styles of dance music. Haven't even touched the drums yet but the bass, atmospheres and sequencer loops are all great.

I still use the previous TM pack so was very keen to check this out. Once again it's full of quality loops and sounds which this time focus on the more bass heavy style of house. Not quite as accomplished as the previous release and still a little annoying that everything is in the key of C but other than that a worthy purchase

Aha I should have read the description first as I have most of the packs that are included here. Anyway, that makes this a very worthwhile addition to your armoury and one that is probably very good value for money! My only problem is that, although it claims there are, there don't seem to be any rex files and no EXS24 file either - am I missing something?

  • Really liked Volume 1 so I was pleased to find out Volume 2 is the same standard. Well recorded with stacks to choose from here whether it be vocals, live instruments, percussion, fx and even flugel horns! Used with imagination this is potentially killer

Of course I'm going to like this as The Cubes are sometime production partners of mine. Good varied selection of beats and music with the drums and percussion probably my favourite. Long overdue and hopefully not their last

Absolutely loads of beats and percussion to go through here. Just what it says on the tin - retro sounding breaks and all split up into component parts too. If you're making anything that requires a funky drummer - this is the pack you need

Adam and Graham are riding high with their releases and this pack is timed perfectly to capitalise on that. All round good quality and varied pack from the whores - drums especially to my liking. High 5

Probably the most varied of the EDM packs and most accomplished, at least to my untrained 'EDM' ear. Fairly useful in various musical styles as long as you're creative. Drum loops most useful to me as they're not specifically 'EDM' but really just main room chunky loops

    Essential EDM Vol 2

    Rating: 7/10

NO, it's not my preferred genre but I thought it may be useful to have some of these sounds in my armoury. Good selection of bass, drum and music loops with the drums being my favourite. Could have done with fx and top loops etc but other than that an interesting pack

    Essential EDM

    Rating: 7/10

Not my style of choice but I thought I'd check it out as I was producing another artist. Decent selection of bass, drum and music loops here with drum loops being most useful as they could transfer to other styles. If you're creative this pack could be of use

Like Vol 1 this is a solid pack containing loads of inspiration. All instrumentals are split into component parts of course an d range from 70-114 bpm. Just wish there was more here! Overall good stuff though

    Loop Tools & Grooves

    Rating: 8/10

I really like this sample pack label. Everything I have from them is top notch and constantly used. Here we have a really wide variety of percussion loops and grooves - all of which are highly original and experimental. Good work Wave Alchemy!

Another from one of my fave labels Wave Alchemy. Well recorded latin percussion which sits in the mix perfectly. Slightly haphazard on the midi in places but overall, although not their best, a very useful pack.

Instead of running out of music TBB have increased the size of their 3rd pack. More funky bass, key and drum riffs than you'd possibly need and all well recorded of course. Unlike some of the 'live' packs which can drift a little timing wise - these are nailed to the floor and can be used in the background or forefront of many dance styles

V cool selection of loops and musical riffs here with my faves being the hat, perc and top loops. Nice variation of elements overall makes for a useful sample pack - already in use at ATFC central ;)

    Daft Funk

    Rating: 7/10

It's always going to be a dangerous game emulating the sounds of DP - the title itself is a bit of a statement. That said it contains a decent array of sounds and loops which, if used intelligently, could work well. Drum, bass and arp loops work best for me.

This is a bit like The Baker Bros packs but with added dirt! (in a good way of course). Great and varied selection of drum and musical loops to spice up all manner of styles of production. Whether they be at the forefront or subtly in the background I know they'll be coming in handy in my studio. Good work

I'm loving the tough, gritty vibe of the drum breaks in this pack. There's a pretty wide variety of styles and tempos so it's perfect for someone like me who finds beatmanship a bit of a chore sometimes. So good I was really disappointed there wasn't more. I'd also be interested to hear a musical edition to this series. Good stuff

I was looking forward to downloading this and wasn't disappointed. Fantastic selection of drum and instrument loops to use in all styles of production. Well recorded and thought out with the drums being my particular favourite. Definitely brings the funk to my studio!

Another great pack from the BB and is almost an extension of Vol. 1 but with over a GB of sounds that description wouldn't do it justice. More drum and instrument loops than I probably need but I'm greedy so I grabbed them anyway ;)

    Vintage Keys 2

    Rating: 7/10

Cool selection of keys here with the rhodes being my favourite. Would have liked to hear more uptempo riffs but overall a well designed and useful pack. Maybe some effected loops next time? Just being picky..

    Live Deep Jazz House

    Rating: 8/10

Loads of material to play with here and all broken down into component parts of course. Really wide selection of instruments and riffs and a great set of drum loops too. A lot of thought has obviously gone into this pack

    Atmospheric Pianos

    Rating: 7/10

Have yet to find a track that this is useful for but I know when I do, I'll probably rinse it like crazy! Riffs and chords with a mainly classical feel (if I were being fussy, a few more with a 'funky' or 'jazzy' feel would have been nice) are the mainstay here and there's loads of them. Great ti get the midi files too - nice addition.

  • Vintage Keys

    Rating: 8/10

Very cool and varied selection of organs and pianos that will come in handy in many styles of dance. Well recorded with nice variations on riffs - I've used a few of these already! Solid pack

    Latin Horns

    Rating: 8/10

Wow, loads to sift through here. You kind of need to know what you're doing but given a bit of time and know how there's a lot of useful material. As usual, well recorded and varied with differing tempos and key signatures. Good stuff!

One of the few instruments you just can't replicate well synthetically, so brass packs are always essential. This is jam packed with pad and riff sections and splits of each which are well recorded. I'm especially digging the pads - thanks!

Loads and loads of funk/rock (ish) patterns here that are well recorded and played. Will dominate most tracks so be careful, but if used wisely, will be a great addition.

    Jazz/World

    Rating: 7/10

Good array of drums and instruments here with the drums and double bass being of particular interest. An advantage is that a lot isn't strictly 'jazzy' so should work in a few styles of track. Well recorded, although some of the midi for stylus remix is off kilter and needed moving to half time.

    Opolopo Electro Funk

    Rating: 9/10

Wow brilliant stuff here. Already fired it up and can hear the quality and thought that's gone into this pack. Not a huge amount but it's all great...synths, drums, bass, almost all you need for an electro boogie bonanza!

    EDM Chords

    Rating: 7/10

Well, this pack doesn't really pull any punches with regards to in your face synth riffs. Even in you're not into the EDM sound (which I'm not) it's useful for chord reference and ideas. Would have been nice to hear some different patches, but then again, EDM is pretty much a one trick pony in that respect :)

Good stuff here from PI. If you're into their sound then this pack is a good representation of what they're about. Not as much variety as I would have hoped but what's there is good. Limited on drums and percussion but a decent amount of synth and bass riffs to trawl

    Club Tools Vol2

    Rating: 8/10

As it says on the tin. Synths and drum loops galore on this fairly in your face pack. Could have done with a few more subtle synth riffs but i guess that's for another set. Drums are particularly to my liking here and already fitting in well with some current productions

    Vintage Horns

    Rating: 8/10

Great selection of well recorded brass which will be useful for anything from Hip Hop through to House. Horn packs are relatively thin on the ground, so when a good one comes along it's worth snapping up. If not overused they'll be an essential addition to any library

The Big Mac comes correct with a superb selection of loops and samples. Attention to detail is great, as is the variety of styles and sound quality is, of course, top notch. I'll be reaching for this pack a lot over the coming months - he'd better get on with a volume 2!

Some fairly way out sounds and percussion in this pack which aren't appropriate for a lot of the tracks I make but then, they're not meant to be. Very atmospheric stuff which is great as hits or loops for tripped out downtempo material and fx in House music.

    Hip Hop Instrumentals

    Rating: 8/10

Very cool selection of Hip/Trip Hop beats and sounds. Can also be interesting when sped up to house tempo. Experimentation is the name of the game - especially if you're not a hip hop producer. Got my eye on this pack for when I get around to the album ;)

A wide array of elements here including all components to make a finished track. On the more laidback vibe, which is to be expected, this set will sit well with the current fashion for old school house. My faves are the pads, rhodes and percussion loops. Overall a good value package

Nice warm, well recorded loops here which are split into useable component parts. Not a great deal of variation overall but what is here is great. Punchy kicks and snappy snares are most prominent while the percussion loops round off an altogether decent package

    Classic House Keys

    Rating: 7/10

Lots to choose from here. Already used some keys in my new production ;) Loaded into apple loops these work fine and sound crisp. Some sounds get get a little glitchy but overall a nice array of synths and beds. Especially into the basses and lead synths

    Rebel House

    Rating: 7/10

Not sure what Rebel House is but I'm guessing it's of the soulful variety. A nice array of pretty cool sounds and loops here with my faves being the bass and top loops. The filter disco loops should be handy too. Not the best sample pack but a solid one nonetheless.

Some really interesting stuff here from weirded out grooves to bass wobbles and synth stabs. A lot of material to go through and (although I'm not quite sure where the funky underground is) it's been helping me in my productions over the last few months

    House Percussion Loops

    Rating: 9/10

Really essential this. For some reason these percussion loops fit in just about everything I make. Recorded very well, with great swing and groove. Some percussion loops can be too overpowering but these sit in the mix perfectly

    Ultimate Studio Bass

    Rating: 7/10

Liking this pack and will definitely be using in the near future. Loads of well recorded riffs in a variety of keys and tempos handily named by guitar make. Especially like the electro sets

  • No surprise here that The Freemasons deliver. Top quality loops, sounds and riffs to fit with a number of house styles. Particularly like the future funk set.

Some nice processed loops here and you can never have enough tribal drums! Interesting so see they're recorded by different mics also. Who needs Shovell!

    Nu-Disco House Edition

    Rating: 8/10

A good array of samples here from percussive to musical to vocal. Very handy for that in vogue modern disco sound with enough scope to build an entire track from. Especially liking the fills and basslines. Well recorded and nicely arranged.

We've all got enough shaker, conga, bongo and standard percussion loops right? Well these are a little different to the norm and are nicely twisted to inspire and surprise. I'm going to have so much fun working these into my tracks. The only negative is that it's a shame there aren't more musical elements.

Jon's a leader in this type of sound and he doesn't disappoint here. Nice keys, drum sounds and grooves. A great addition to my stylus arsenal. The synth loops are my personal fave

Really good pack this with lots of useful top loops, percussion and sounds. Well recorded and easy to find inspiration from. Good work - especially like the clap fx ;)

Lots of nice touches here with Steve's unmistakeable sound. Especially feeling the top loops and percussion of which there are loads of! Already used elements of this on 2/3 tracks recently so thank you!

Once again an invaluable string pack that will save you a few bob on an orchestra. Used well they will fit into all manner of dance productions (if that's your bag) and give your sound an authentic edge.

This is a well recorded set with more construction kits than you'll know what to do with. The basses & synths are deep as you'd expect with the drum patterns (all with and without kicks) also very handy. Good stuff.

If you're into Jay-J's sound (as I am) you'll find some great additions to your arsenal here. All go a long way to getting that techy soulful vibe he's pioneered over the years. Particularly like the drum layers.

some nice wibbles and wobbles, basses and synths. Loads of drum patterns to splice at your will - would have liked to have seen some top loops and add ons but that's a minor point. Good stuff as usual.

    Groove Tech

    Rating: 7/10

Quite drum heavy this one but what musical elements there are are good quality. Loads of handy drum loops to sift through which vary widely in groove and feel. My faves here though are the bass loops - very deep and punchy.

    Tribal House

    Rating: 7/10

Deeper than expected but overall a nice selection of acoustic, hybrid and electronic percussion alongside some musical loops too. The vocals will also no doubt appear on a few productions over the coming months so grab this one now.

    Real Strings

    Rating: 8/10

Strings, as we know, are really expensive to record so this set of loops and pads are a godsend. Already being used in a current track of mine they've earned their keep immediately. Looking forward to Vol 2.

Well laid out and recorded by my friends Faze Action. I've recorded at their studio so I know the attention to detail that goes into their process. My faves are the basslines ;)

    Disco Strings

    Rating: 8/10

Really great sounding strings which will make appearances on many ATFC tracks to come. When strings are so expensive to record these parts are a real gem for any budding producer.

    Tropical Tech

    Rating: 8/10

Very useful this. Organic sounds but weirded out and mutated to sound a little different to your average percussion fest. That said there's also some nice live grooves included too.

Didn't know what to expect with this one but there a decent selection of musical riffs and wobbles that can be used in or out of a build or breakdown!

    Traditional Percussion

    Rating: 8/10

Basically what it says on the tin. All manner of shakers, bongos, congas, felt beaters and cowbells plus everything in between. A great addition to any percussion freaks arsenal.
