Spanning a career with over 150 releases, he’s won a Grammy® nomination and launched two compilation  series for the seminal Defected label. As a producer, you’ll see his name on the biggest releases from Ultra, Moulton Studios, OM, Naked Music and Defected.  He’s remixed artists from Jill Scott to Joss Stone and has collaborated with producers from Kaskade to Miguel Migs.

As both a DJ and Producer, Jay-J has consistently generated quality like very few can. His peers consider him one of the most influential, respected and prolific individuals in the industry. Jay-J is known for his signature 'sexy, soulful, dance floor driven' style blending elements of funk, soul and disco combined with sultry vocals.

Loopmasters managed to convince Jay-J to work on this sample pack earlier this year and we knew that it would be a benchmark from which other sample packs would be judged; he didn’t disappoint us and we believe that House Music Producers worldwide will find a wealth of inspiration in this fantastic sample pack!

Producers should expect 800+Mb of crisp 24Bit samples including 378 Loops and 600+ Single samples and one shots, with everything presented in Acidised Wav, Rex2 and with 54 Ready to play patches for Reason NNXT, Halion  Kontakt, SFZ and EXS, and Structure samplers, along with 10 Drum Kits and 3 Ableton FX Racks. The pack is available in Apple Loop, Reason Refill, and Ableton Live formats separately.

In detail Jay-J has included here 179 Drum loops, featuring 21 Fills, 25 Full Loops, and 133 “Dynamic Layers” which enable you to build and program your own beats with maximum feel. You also get 32 Deep Bass Loops, and 105 Music Loops which include 25 Guitar parts, 6 Horn Loops, 12 Keyboard Parts, 51 inspirational Synth melodies, and 11 Soulful Vox samples. Moving into the percussion section we find 15 Bells Loops, 15 Expertly played Conga Loops, plus 15 Timbale Loops. Into the Sounds & FX section there are 200+ Single Drum samples which have all been EQ’d and processed for the Dance floor, 46 FX and Tempo sweeps, 34 Single Shot Music Hits/Stabs, and then into the pactches which include 44 Multi-sampled instruments including 27 Analog Basses, 11 Leads & Pads, 4 Misc Instruments and 2 Full Conga Patches!

The analog synth basses were meticulously sampled from Jay-J's custom bank on his trusty Studio Elecronics SE-1X used for years for earth shattering bass  and cutting leads on hundreds of dance music's top releases from labels like Shifted Music, Defected, Naked Music, Large Records, and many many others.

As an added bonus Jay-J also teamed up with Scott Wozniak to create 105 Midi Files, including 20 construction kits, which can be used easily with the patches and single hit sounds provided.

For those working in Pro Tools, Jay-J has also included the instrument patches in the Structure format.

Reason Refill, Ableton Live Packs and Apple Loops are not included, and must be purchased where available as a separate downloads. Apple Loops packs also include any single hits and EXS patches where applicable.

If you're into Jay-J's sound (as I am) you'll find some great additions to your arsenal here. All go a long way to getting that techy soulful vibe he's pioneered over the years. Particularly like the drum layers.
