BOMB SQUAD: Tactical Beats And Sample Artillery contains a massive array of over 1GB of original BOMB SQUAD audio samples exclusively sound designed and engineered by Hank Shocklee for Loopmasters. Sampling in music is now a part of the mainstream culture and Hank Shocklee  is responsible for bringing the art of sampling to the forefront by creating techniques such as filtering, multiband micro-loop sampling, introducing the use of sine waves to create kick drums and bass lines, truncating and mapping samples on keyboards and drum machines and using tuning to create warping in the late 80's–early 90's. With Shocklee's creation of the group Public Enemy and his Bomb Squad production unit these techniques were introduced to the world stage via his landmark albums with Public Enemy such as "It Takes A Nation of Millions To Hold Us Back" and "Fear Of A Black Planet", two albums which consistently rank high amongst most of the 'greatest albums of all time' lists such as those by Rolling Stone, Spin, Pitchfork, VH1, Vibe, Mojo, NME, The Village Voice and many others.

Shocklee's name became synonymous with sampling shortly after creating the BOMB SQUAD style. He has been at the centre-point of debates on copyright laws and studied by pop culture historians and academics alike. As a constant developer of numerous audio production and sampling techniques, he has been both an inspiring force for music producers and a disruptor of music industry politics.

This sample pack weighs in at just over 1GB, and includes 723 24 Bit samples including  440 loops and 280 Single samples. Also included in this unique pack are 80 ready to play patches for Reason NNXT, Halion, EXS, SFZ and Kontakt soft samplers.  Reason Refill, Apple Loops, and Ableton Live versions are also available to purchase separately.

Assault Weapons
These are the primary weapons of modern warfare. They come with an array of accessories, large rounds, extend magazines, grenade launchers, night vision scopes etc. We have gone through every known effect and synthesis processing along with sample granular reconstruction to bring you any array of deployment weaponry that will create vibrational frenzy.

Anti - Tank Weapons
Originally designed for World War 2, these weapons were for penetrating large assault vehicles, jeeps and tanks. These weapons had to be mobile and capable of firing large ammunition clips. We have gone to the next level in our research and present to you additional rounds of newly created weapons for those heads that still need convincing. These loops will surely penetrate even the most critical of enemies.

Sniper Weapons
The main purpose of sniper weapons is to destroy valuable targets at extended ranges with precise hits. Most targets being human beings, criminals, enemy assets, terrorists or even officials. This carefully selected arsenal of weapon one-shots are to be used in conjunctioon with your arsenal of traditional weapons. Designed as dirty camoflauge, layer these with your often used shiny and clean kicks, snare, hi hats, toms and miscellaneous goodies.

Submachine Weapons
One of the oldest, most often used weapons in tactical deployment. First developed in 1980 form the infamous Roland TR808. Here we crafted these 30-70 Hz sub bass frequencies and have designed them to resonate subs and assault your competition with massive low end energy.

Traumatic Weapons
These non-lethal weapons were designed for crowd control, riots and protest demonstrators. They include rounds of rubber bullets, sonic booms, high frequency piercing blasts and electromagnetic pain inducing frequencies designed to leave the victim feeling very uncomfortable. These high impact, sonic structure have been created to used as noises, effects, dissonant transitions, ambient soundscapes and chords.

Hand Weapons
A series of weapons for close range work, these glitchy, screechy noises come in handy for use as cymbal crashes, transitions, drop outs and even background sound for hooks. The percussion, sound effect loops have been added for automatic weaponry when you need that little extra something that will render your audience dizzy from the onslaught breakdown mayhem.

In detail producers should expect to find here 27 Bass Loops, 302 Drum Loops, 51 Music Loops, 51 FX Loops, 9 Atmos loops, 199 Single Drum Samples, 64 bass Hits, 17 SFX plus 10 ready mapped Drum Kits.

According to Shocklee, "I'm always in the studio experimenting with sound and wanted to put out a project for the music producers and music production fans. All the samples in this pack were created by synthesis design and effects automation to create a more natural and organic sound with the use of analogue effects recording techniques in a digital environment. I want to show people an inside look to the process and also make an interactive album by releasing the samples in my upcoming project ahead of time for anyone to use. Please Note: When selecting the appropriate download version for your requirements the Zip (Main) format includes Acidised Wav and Rex2 Loops – all single (non looping) sounds and Sampler Patches for Kontakt, Halion, NNXT, EXS24  soft samplers. Reason Refill, Ableton Live Packs and Apple Loops are not included, and must be purchased where available as a separate downloads. Apple Loops packs also include any single hits and EXS patches where applicable.
