Freaky Loops continues their Epica series with volume two – a 2.62GB library packed with unique and hypnotic materials that is destined to enhance any musical projects. The idea behind this series is to give electronic artists an inspiring set of tools to use in their compositions or augmenting the samples in existing mixes. Volume 2 consists of many sound categories that cover a lot of ground and would work in any electronic genre. Sounds include bewitching vocal harmonies, ethereal piano melodies, impressive chants to deepest breaths, fascinating vocal chords to blissfully evolving pads, melancholic atmospheres to ethereal synth sequences, dreamy vox FXs to dark and syncopated beds, haunting whispers to emotional vocal hooks, cinematic builds to poisonous hummings, epic orchestral phrases to huge cinematic drums and twisted textures to floating vocal phrases – in other words, the sound have enormous scope. All loops and samples are key and tempo-labelled for easy access and flexibility, so you can use them to your heart’s content. The 25 Dark & Deep, fourteen Beds & Abstract and twenty Melodic & Magical samples are pretty solid and inspiring. The twenty Emotional Trailers Melodies are moody and dramatic, and the 175 one-shot samples are sure to add spice in your productions. What’s great about Volume 2 is that it works well together with the earlier volume. If you already have the first title, then this is something to consider for future purchase.
