Produced using nothing but analogue synths and modular gear. UNDRGRND 's tough, dark techno sample pack impresses with its tightly consistent mechanical aesthetic. The 45 stemmed drum loops are enriched through the use of ambience and textural percussion elements alongside the kicks, snares and hats, while the 36 bass loops aren't afraid to play around with stereo positioning and space. The melodic loops - chords, pads and synths' - are more concerned with analogue character than clever tricks, and the FX one-shots are similarly tasteful. It all adds up to a lean, mean library for the techno purist.
