The always-reliable Diggers return with 700MB of 85bpm loops and hits, "combining the quantise-free and wonky vibes of the LA beats scene with the rigorous and menacing sound design of halftime DnB". A major feature of Dark Future Beats is the length of the loops, which range from two to eight bars - most of them at the higher end of that scale - and are thus given lots of space to develop to a greater or lesser extent. And the sounds themselves are sublime - darkly emotive, thoroughly composed and beautifully produced.
