The boutique Brighton-based bass music label launches its own line of sample packs with a tightly worked, budget-priced offering from founder Primate (aka Joe Vince). The Drumloops folder is home to some of the most interesting and genuinely jazz-tinged beats and perc lines we've heard in an age; the pad and synth loops are sublime in their understated musicality and palpable warmth; and though the basses don't achieve quite the hights of the rest of the material, they're powerful in their simplicity. An impressive debut then - we look forward to 002!
