Samplestate takes a trip back in time to a golden era of house music, the groove-driven soul of mid-90s house with an authentic sample pack built to capture the unmistakable energy of the 1995–1997 era. 

This collection channels into the cooler more underground vibes of the time, where creativity was spawned from limitation.  Low bit rate samplers and analogue synths meet classic drum machines on the large format consoles of days gone by. We affectionately brought everything up to date with the gentle application of modern production techniques.  A true hybrid of a pack, authentic and forward thinking, building on the foundations laid down by pioneers from close to thirty years ago. 

Inspired by legends such as Masters at Work, Danny Tenaglia, Mood 2 Swing, Barbara Tucker, Strictly Rhythm and many more.  

Drawing inspiration from the signature sounds of New York and New Jersey’s finest, this pack leans heavily into warm, resampled textures, dusty chord stabs, and groove-led drum programming. Expect lush pads and soulful harmonics processed through vintage workflows, alongside punchy, shuffled drums designed to sit perfectly in the pocket.

At its core, this pack is all about feel. Chords are rich and emotive, often resampled and layered to recreate that classic, slightly imperfect character. Pads drift with analog warmth, while basslines and synth riffs bring movement without overpowering the groove.

A wide range of classic Roland hardware was used on this pack, from the Juno 106, SH-101 to the unmistakable 909.
