Loopmasters proudly presents Nicky Bomba - Breakbeat Grooves! This sample pack captures Nicky’s distinctive feel and rhythmic personality through a collection of live drum and percussion performances recorded at Treehouse Studios in Freeburgh, Victoria, Australia. Drawing on decades of experience across reggae, ska, funk, roots and contemporary music, the collection is built around feel, movement and the natural character of a real drummer, giving producers a collection of grooves with an unmistakably human touch.
Nicky Bomba began playing drums at the age of six, performing with his family dance band while learning the foundations of marching drum rudiments at school. His deep exploration of reggae, ska, funk and roots music has helped establish him as a distinctive and highly respected drummer, known for his feel, groove and unmistakable sense of rhythm. A founding member of The Truth, Bomba, The Cosmics, Banana Oil and the Melbourne Ska Orchestra, Nicky has also played drums with the John Butler Trio, recording three albums and touring extensively around the world.
Alongside his work as a musician and performer, Nicky has developed extensive experience in studio recording and production. Nicky Bomba - Breakbeat Grooves marks the first time he has captured and released his signature drum grooves as a dedicated sample pack, bringing decades of playing, recording, and live experience directly to producers.
Inside, you will find a mixture of one-shots and loops recorded in pristine quality. The one-shots feature bongos, cowbells, and individual drum components including cymbals, hats, kicks, snares, and toms. The loops include drum fills and a variety of breaks across tempos from 120 to 140 BPM.
