TX TRAP is a tribute to the unmistakable sound of Southern rap and hip-hop, where raw, resampled soul, blues, and funk collide with the bounce of sample-laced beats and hard trap energy. 

At the core are original, fully live-recorded samples blending authentic performances on guitar, horns, strings, piano, and vocals. Crafted to capture the heart and soul of vintage records, these sounds are purpose-built for producers to flip, chop, and rework into modern anthems.

Stacked with custom-designed trap drum loops and one-shots, heavy 808s, dusty digital cowbells, and textured percussion. Explore rich musical layers, songstarters, acoustic drum breaks, and a vintage soul vocal collection including vocal hooks, harmony stacks, and resampled vocal loops. Created by producer and sound designer Mxnu, with vocals by singer Jessica Lovelock.

Inspired by new wave Texas artists like BigXthaPlug, That Mexican OT, and Maxo Kream, with a nod to the roots of Texas rap production, TX TRAP brings Southern soul to modern trap production.
