Resound is a musician/producer and DJ from Tampere, Finland. Many know him from his music on such record labels as Digital Soundboy, Exit Records, Renegade Hardware, Metalheadz, Samurai Music, Function Records and more. His ground breaking debut album "Burning Shadows" (a collaboration with a longtime production partner Loxy) was released on Exit Records in 2011. With releases on roughly 40 independent record labels worldwide since the year 2000, it's safe to say he is a veteran of the drum&bass scene. But many don't know there's much more beneath. Resound has also been involved on many game soundtracks (most recently, "Cities In Motion" by Paradox Interactive/Colossal Order). He does a lot of production, mixing and mastering work for others and also runs a website where he helps other producers master their craft. His first sample pack "Loxy & Resound Drum & Bass Vol. 8" was also released on Loopmasters in 2012. What the future holds remains to be seen but one thing is for sure - Resound is always up to something!

  • Modular Techno

    Rating: 8/10

This is a great pack for someone who doesn't have access to nice analogue/modular synthesizers. The pack is quite dark and experimental in nature and there's lots to work with. I especially liked some of the distorted drum loops that are sounding absolutely mental. The are some great atmospheric type sounds and, of course, characteristic modular synth sequences.

    Warehouse Techno

    Rating: 8/10

This is an inspiring pack. It's very moody in nature and quite relentless, as it should be. The highlights for me are the expertly programmed drum loops. Don't get me wrong, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the rest of the sounds. The different sounds in the pack work together well and there's lots of fun to be had when experimenting and trying different combinations of the loops.

    Techno

    Rating: 9/10

This pack is absolutely cracking. I've come to trust Wave Alchemy for quality samples and they just don't disappoint. The pack is versatile and everything is well produced. No matter if you're looking for drums, bass, synths or percussion, it's all in there. The sounds offer tons of possibilities for further shaping and experimentation. Great job.

Cool pack but not mind blowing for me. Highlights for me are probably the bass sounds. A lot of very solid sub bass samples in there! There are some good drums as well, however some of the drum breaks are a little bit hollow and thin. I also wish there were more sounds in the pack.

A great pack for all the neuromongers out there. There are lots of very techy and warped sounds in this pack. The production standards are great. Everything sounds crispy and full bodied. If weird techy sounds are what you're looking for, then this pack is for you! Great job with this pack.

Nothing short of fantastic. You can't go wrong with this one. The sounds in this pack are top notch both in terms of sound quality and usability. The highlight for me is the drum breaks, but everything else is good too. Highly recommended.

    Rare Tones

    Rating: 8/10

A good collection of many kinds of traditional percussion and instrument sounds from all over the world. The resonating bell sounds are especially interesting to me and there are a lot of them. There are a lot of one shot percussion sounds which are great for layering with snares. All in all a very solid pack!

    Experimental DnB

    Rating: 8/10

This is a pack that sounds quite different from most of the other dnb packs out there. Softer, darker and deeper. The pad sounds are the highlight of the pack for me. Very nice. The drums breaks are not outstanding to me but if you're looking for cinematic sounds with lots of depth and character, this pack is definitely worth checking.

Good bits of vocal acapellas to play around with. It's all sounding quite natural and not too processed. No echoes or reverbs, which is a great thing because that leaves you the possibility to process the vocals in any way you like. The vocals sound good natural but also make great cannon fodder for very experimental stuff.

Great pack all in all, but the breaks are the highlight for me here. Great sound quality. No fillers here. Great job!

Love the drums and the bass sounds in this pack. Modern and really well produced. Top notch work from top notch producer.

Some nice loops in there, but the individual hits are the highlights in this pack for me. I especially liked the bass drums in this pack. Punchy, sounds great, very usable in all kinds of music.

This pack is all about character. Great material for those of us who don't have access to lots of analog hardware. The loops are good for chopping up and rearranging into your own versions, which is always great. I wish there were more loops, but it's still plenty to play around with as it is!

Deep and rhythmic sub loops. These are good for layering with drums and/or chopping up to create new rhythms. Many of the loops sound quite similar to each other. The sounds are nice but I would have liked to have more variety.

There are some very cool and weird (in a good way) sequences here. The real killer is the beautifully executed analog sound though. I could imagine these sounds working really well in sound design / film sound type of projects as well.

Inspirational stuff. Really enjoying the vibes in this pack. It's flawlessly executed and provides you exactly what the title says. The drums are still pretty heavy hitting so could be used for lots of things.

This is an incredible pack. Love it. As soon as I started listening to the samples I was blown away by the sound quality. But that's not all - there are tons of sounds and everything is good. It is aimed for techno but it's easy to deconstruct the loops and use them in any genre. Great stuff.

Great pack! My favorites are the drum loops and bass loops especially. Top notch and very usable sounds. Easy to work with and create your own variations.

I am loving the synth sounds in this pack. All in all the sounds in this pack are quite refreshing and I will probably be drawing for a few things here and there!

    Dubstep Supercharged

    Rating: 10/10

If you're looking for that hyper charged sound, this is where it's at. Top notch production and sound quality. And I especially appreciate the attention to detail with the mappings. This is how all sample packs should be executed.

  • Loop Tools & Grooves

    Rating: 9/10

Loads of very cool loops for house and techno productions. And works for anything else too when you slice it up. Very well produced - the sound quality is top notch as you would expect from Wave Alchemy. Great pack.

    Deep Tone

    Rating: 9/10

I like this pack a lot. The sounds are of great quality first of all. But also the design of the kits makes it fun to play around with this pack, and there is enough content to keep you occupied for a while. Recommended.

    Naked Techno

    Rating: 10/10

Super! Great techno toolkit. Been having lots of fun with this on Maschine. Everything is good quality and the kits are very well designed. And there's just the right amount of content to keep you having fun without overwhelming you with choice.

The pack definitely stands up to it's title. Straight up Bristol style sounds. The drum loops sound especially nice to me. Full and weighty. You can hear analog vibe on a lot of the samples which is great.

This is as good as it gets. Very solid pack all around. My favorites are the bass and FX sounds. Very Sci-Fi. But it's all really good and well produced.

Great collection of snare sounds. Especially for anyone wanting that heavy, pushed sound, because there are lots and lots of those. I can see myself using these a lot in the future.

Very unique sounds here. Even though the sounds are made for 3 tempos (100, 110 & 120), they can be used in other tempos in a variety of ways. I don't think I've heard a sample pack before that sounds quite like this. Very filthy, very analog and deep at the same time. It's not for the mainstream guys, but I do recommend for anyone looking for some unique dark edge.

Lots of very unique and interesting sounds in here. It takes a little bit of effort to dig out the real gems as this pack has a massive amount of sounds. The production standards are high and you can really hear the analog vibe oozing throughout the pack. There are lots of great one-shots here but my favorites have got to be the longer noise sounds. Very nice.

This is a quality drum & bass pack. The highlights for me are the great sounding drum loops. There's lots of them and they can be used with a lot of different kinds of material. There are also lots of nice bass sounds here. Also there's a good number of classic pad sounds on this pack. All in all a very well crafted pack with lots of very usable quality sounds.

    Paperskins Snare Toolkit

    Rating: 10/10

Beautiful edgy snare sounds. These sounds have lots of character. There's tons of saturation and noise going on, but it's all very skillfully crafted and the dynamics are intact which is important. There's loads of different sounds to play around with. Quality.

    Complete Drums

    Rating: 10/10

Love the quality of these samples. Clearly a lot of love and attention went into making these sounds. I especially love the 808 sounds recorded on Studer tape, but everything else is golden too. Can't recommend this pack enough. It costs more than your average pack, but it's great value for money and you'll be sorted for life.
