Sub Bass Academy of Electronic Music has announced the release of a new course from Deep Organic Techno producer Glimpse. Ableton Essentials with Glimpse is a unique online course where producer Glimpse demonstrates how he collects everyday sounds, such as Frying a sausage to kicking a bin and uses them in his music, to give the tracks a totally unique style and feel.

This video is a sample module from the Sub Bass Ableton Essentials Found Sounds course showing some essential audio shaping tips for any imported audio sample within Ableton.

Using Found Sounds & Samples?

The course covers the complete construction of a full track with just found sounds – you’ll be amazed at how many sounds we hear every day that can be used in music production, with the aim to get you thinking outside the box with your music and really take your creativity to the next level.

Glimpse shows us a totally unique way of looking at music production, and will get your creative juices flowing with some amazing techniques.

The ‘Found Sounds’ course includes 19 video tutorials, packed full of useful tips and production workarounds to turn these found sounds into uniquely polished samples. It includes all the sounds used in the track, plus a free sample pack including drums, percussion, bass parts, loops and found sounds from Glimpse and our other pro tutors including Tom Demac and Graeme Lloyd.

About Glimpse

In a career which has still spanned nearly ten years, Glimpse has established himself as one of the most versatile, imaginative and talented producers that the UK has to offer today.

From the early days of his hugely successful, uncompromising techno ‘Black Series’ on Glimpse Recordings, through to the groove-laden tech house of ‘Drifting’ on Planet E and, later, fully pursuing the deep and organic take on house via his Crosstown Rebels singles and album – this musical range has gained him the respect of his peers and culminated in two successive nominations in DJ Magazine’s prestigious ‘Best British Producer’ category.

The SubBass Story

SubBass Academy of Electronic Music started over 10 years ago teaching DJ courses to up and coming DJ’s in London in the back of a small record shop. SubBass grew rapidly moving to a bigger, then bigger studio and added Music Production courses to the rosta.

Sub Bass Academy has since grown into one of the most respected Music Production and DJ schools in the world, with students coming from all over the globe to experience a broad range of practical based training from experienced and highly dextrous masters of sound.

Enjoy!
