Dread Hornz Vol 5 amps up the heat with four songs, 1,000+ horn lines, riffs, and skanks. There’s no limit to how you can utilise complete horn lines, and specific instruments, cut 'n' chop parts from several, and create your own or drop in the numerous riffs into your tracks.
Volume 5 continues in the tradition of the previous 4 releases with more classic ‘70s horn-driven reggae recordings of Jamaica heard on so many legendary songs from Studio One to Channel One, from Marley to Burning Spear and modern steppers.
- Dry Version
- Dub Version (based on the classic Roland Echo sound)
- Echo (dotted ⅛ saturated vibes)
- Phaser (based on the classic Lee “Scratch” Perry sound)
- Space Dub (multi-FX including EQ, stereo imaging, 2 echo/delays, 2 types of subtle reverb - plate and spring with a dash of slight vinyl wobble)
- Spring Reverb
No compression or limiting was used to allow for more natural dynamics and subtleties of the player's performances.
The Echo/Dub versions have extended space to allow for the full decay of sound, so the loop lengths are longer.
Performed by the Booom Hornz, Dread Hornz Vol 5 contains 4 song folders - 3 minor keys and 1 major key.
Created for maximum flexibility and usability the pack includes full horn sections (trumpet, tenor sax, and trombone) along with each instrument provided separately.
You’ll have the original dry recordings and as a bonus, we’ve included several FX versions - all to help provide flexibility and inspiration for your tracks.
The one-shots include: stabs, sustained notes, swells, chords, and short riffs.
